Can MNWC's Clinic Director Survive a DETOX??

Hi everyone!

Anybody about to gorge themselves on Easter Eggs should take note....
( Yes, I am about to eat myself silly on the bunny's chocolaty goodness too ) However, I have a plan in place to help me AFTER wards. After all, it IS a special occasion and it is necessary to indulge once in a while but I have been over indulging! Pretty much its the same excuse, Its Christmas, I'm on holidays, Its my birthday, Its so and so's wedding, its Easter... Enough is enough! If I waited for he right time, it would never come so I have decided to pull my finger out and go for it!

You guessed it, I am DETOXING! ( date set to start Tuesday 14th April ) and funny enough I am looking forward to it. As a self confessed food -a - holic, I like to eat, drink and be merry but I also feel sluggish, bloated and could use a few less wobbly bits ;) I love a challenge so I am about to embark on a 6 week Complete Detox Program we are starting to run at the clinic. ( Dont panic, there is a 2 week one for all the chicken's out there) I decided to go for the whole hog, no pun intended!

Best thing is, I cant cheat as I am going to be' blogging on' about my test results to start and finish and how I am feeling, any challenges etc and oh yes, the mighty WEB CAM will show all! I am doing this in the hope that I inspire you to take the challenge yourself and not only feel the results but SEE for yourself how good you look afterwards. So keep watching this space....

Healthy regards
Jodes :)

Help us help those who have lost everything

We have noticed it is difficult to get onto the red cross to donate money for the bush fire victims as there are so many people wanting to donate. MNWC has set up a donation box at reception and will match $ for $ for anyone who donates.

You don't have to be a client and you don't have to buy anything from us, just another place to drop off your donation while on your way to or from work, on your lunch break- a good excuse to get off your bum and go for a walk!

( Take the stairs up to level 4 for an extra challenge dont use the lift, we dare you! )

Recession Proof Your Health

We have all heard about the financial crisis. We have all heard it before, if you lose everything you still have your health. Well, many of us have neglected that as we were and still are busy in our lives. Juggling family, friends, work, bills, enjoying life, it goes on and on. Where is the health and fitness in that? Some of us try, we join the gym, walk daily then it slows down as everything else takes over.

This is THE most important time to put your health first. Exercise daily, which will help you relieve stress, anxiety and help you concentrate and boost your immune system. In these times you can not afford to be sick.
Some ideas: Take a walk up stairs instead of lifts, get off the tram or train a stop early, walk the dog or neighbours dog. If you miss a day don't panic just get back on track the next day. Walk with a workmate at lunchtime. You are more likely to do it if you are motivated by another so why not exercise with a partner?

Drink 1.5-2 Litres of water a day. Put a litre jug on your desk at work and get through it, fill it up again and off you go. Carry a bottle of water with you when out and about to get that extra water in

Keep your portion sizes small. ( Also saves $$ ) Fresh fruit and vegies are fantastic this season. Enjoy them, healthy eating!

Spend time scheduling exercise, food shopping, spending time with friends and family, work commitments and time for YOU!! Do something you love.

A suggestion: get out your diary and put all the things you need to do in there even pick a specific time for them all. Include time for exercise and leisure too. If its good enough to do it for work then why not do it for your life!
